Students Advance in Math Counts Competition

The 7th and 8th Grade students participated in the local MathCounts contest.  MathCounts is a national organization promoting math and problem solving to middle school kids all over the United States.  Each year Syracuse sponsors a local contest to select a team of individuals to move on to the SE Nebraska District competition.  This year’s team of Ava Mohr, Gideon Stark, Adam Johnson, and Brayden Campbell will represent Syracuse Middle School at the District Contest at Lincoln East February 24.  Ava was the school winner and Gideon finished 2nd.

There are also 8 alternates that made the top 12 in Syracuse that will compete individually: Tanay Joshi, Kamryn Manley, Calla Masters, Lawson Stark, Marcus Ensor, Makenna Schroeder, Mckenzie Jones, and Isley Brinkman.
