Nebraska Continuous Improvement

External Team Visitations

The primary objective of an external team visit is to support our school in identifying and advancing continuous improvement goals and plans. This is achieved by providing an impartial external perspective on our school's continuous improvement procedures. While there is a certain level of validation for the efforts of local committees, the main focus is on seeking professional advice from colleagues outside the district. The nature of the relationship is collegial, emphasizing collaboration rather than supervision or evaluation. The ultimate goal is to enhance the depth of understanding, facilitating progress toward achieving our district improvement objectives.

Rule 10, Section 009.01B: The school improvement process includes a visitation by a team of external representatives
to review progress and provide written recommendations. A copy of the written recommendations is provided to the
Department. The external team visits are conducted at least once each five years.
