Title IX

It is the policy of the Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca Public Schools that no person shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any of the Southern School District’s programs or activities.  The district is required by Title IX (20 U.S.C. § 1681) and 34 C.F.R. part 106 to not discriminate in such a manner.  This non-discrimination policy extends to admission and employment, and inquiries about the application of Title IX and 34 C.F.R. part 106 to the district may be referred to the district’s Title IX Coordinator, the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the United States Department of Education, or both.
