Syracuse Library Foundation Donates to Syracuse Middle School

The Syracuse Library Foundation recently donated $10,000 to the Syracuse Middle School as a thank you to the school for annually hosting the Foundation’s Summer Blast program for local youth.  Summer Blast has been held at the middle school the past two summers and is offered for students who have completed kindergarten through 6th grade. The Summer Blast classes are designed to be fun, engaging and geared to incorporate science, technology, engineering, art and math.  They also emphasize other important parts of the learning process such as: creative thinking, collaboration, experimentation and exploration. Pictured above are Don Harms, Foundation treasurer, Joy Stilmock, Foundation board member and Summer Blast coordinator, as well as Tim Farley, SMS principal.  The donated funds are to be allocated to the purchase of technology equipment. Thank you Syracuse Library Foundation for your generous contribution!
