For any Rocket fans looking to attend our home meet tomorrow here is a little information for you! Here is a list of our students and the events they are competing in, along with the schedule for the meet tomorrow.
Printed schematics showing which rooms each event will be in and maps will be available at the door of the activities entrance tomorrow.
If you have never attended a speech meet before, here is a quick overview of how it works:
Students compete in two preliminary rounds, and the results from those rounds determine who advances to finals.
Students may compete in more than one event. This means they might present early in one round and then need to leave quickly to get to another event. Be prepared to check if your student in question has presented already and moved on to the next event.
General Guidelines
Please do not open doors while students are presenting. Wait until you hear applause or until someone opens the door.
Please silence or turn off phones, and make sure any alarms are disabled.
No flash photography.
No talking during rounds once in the round. Please wait to exit the round until the student has finished presenting. Please keep phones put away while students are presenting.
Please be respectful and quiet in the hallways so performances are not disrupted.
Thank you for supporting our students!
