Girls Track and Field Team are State Champs
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe SDA HS Girls Track and Field Team won the Class B Track and Field State Championship this past weekend in Omaha. Syracuse finished with 64 team points, 3 points ahead to the runner-up Platteview. Lauren Meyer (Triple Jump), Jess Moss (High Jump), and Lauren Siefken (800 Meter Run) won individual state championships for the Rockets. The Lady Rocket 4X400 Relay team of Lauren Meyer, Grace Damme, Lauren Siefken, and Ellie Wilkinson also won a state championship in the event. Also competing for the Rockets at state were Meredith Clark (3rd in the Shot and Discus), Kennedy Stanley, and Abby Ortiz. Congratulations to the Rocket team and Coaches for winning back to back State Championships!
