FBLA Business Contests

Syracuse FBLA started Career Technical Education month by attending two business contests. The chapter celebrated FBLA Week, February 5-11, with a variety of activities including “Dress for Success Day,” a bake raffle for March of Dimes, T-shirt day and member appreciation.

On February 1, 22 students attended the UNL Business Contest and competed against over 400 students from 31 schools. Placing in the top five and receiving trophies were Alyssa Rippe, first in Job Interview and fifth in Business Calculations; Mitchell McWilliams, second in Job Interview and second in Advanced Accounting; Chloe Moore, third in Management and Decision Making; and Livia Wilhelm, fifth in Advanced Accounting.

On February 3, 14 members attended the UNO Business Contest. The team tied for first in the team competition with members placing in the top five receiving team points. Recognized for being in the top three and receiving certificates were Mitchell McWilliams, second in Accounting and second in Business Calculations and Livia Wilhelm, second in Accounting.
