TeamMates Program Gets A New Name

Our devoted mentors and the students they mentor will be receiving a letter from TeamMates announcing the closing of the Syracuse Chapter. Although it is true that we will no longer going to be affiliated with TeamMates, we want everyone to know that we ARE continuing our mentoring program and that mentors will continue to meet with their assigned students.
Due to the escalating costs and the increasing paperwork required by TeamMates, Syracuse Public Schools will no longer be affiliated with the TeamMates Organization, but our mentoring program will go on as it has in the past. You will just notice that our program name will change to “Syracuse Mentors”. It is our goal that our mentoring program will continue to grow stronger and impact students in positive ways.
Student mentoring will begin the third week of school after the drop/add process for classes. We sincerely appreciate the community support our mentoring program has received in the past - this has truly made a difference for our students.
