Rocket Boys Repeat as Capitol Conference Champions

The Rocket Boys Basketball Team captured their 7th Capitol Conference Tournament Title in the last 12 years by defeating rival Wahoo 50-37 at Raymond Central High School. The Rockets opened the Tourney by defeating Raymond Central 65-30 and followed it up with a Semi Final win over Bennington by the score of 56-35. In the Championship Game, the Rockets used a stiffling defense to hold the Warriors to 10 first half points and built a 22 point lead by the end of the third quarter. The Rockets were able to hold off the Warriors as they attempted to make a run in the end but were not able to catch up. Nick Reed and Adam Vogt led the Rockets in scoring in each of the three tournament games. It was the 11th time in the last 12 seasons that the Rockets have been in the Championship game coming away with 7 Titles.
