Golfers Take Second at Palmyra

Juilfs, Stilmock, Vogt medal

The Syracuse golf team finished second in the gold division of the Palmyra Invite Wednesday, April 23 with a 333 team total. Lincoln Lutheran won the gold division with a 320 total. Will Juilfs finished second in the individual scoring with an 80. Nate Stilmock and Andrew Vogt both shot 83s to finish 6th and 7th respectively. Timmy Jensen shot an 87 and Mitch Ross fired an 89 to round out the Syracuse scoring. 

On Monday, Syracuse defeated Plattsmouth in a dual meet 178 to 189. Mitch Ross led the way for the Rockets with a 40; Will Juilfs and Nate Stilmock each shot 45; Andrew Vogt had a 48 and Timmy Jensen shot a 50. In the JV match, Syracuse outshot Plattsmouth 217 to 223. Cassidy Lamb's 48 led the way; Rayce Aksamit shot a 55, Ben Johanns and Darin Beach each had 57s and Colton Knickman shot a 60.

The Rockets will next play in the Capitol Conference meet on Friday, May 2 at the Syracuse Country Club. The first tee time will be at 9:00 a.m.
